Brad Martin is a long-time friend of the Music Circus and Melody Tent. If you’ve ever called after hours and listened to our show listing, if you’ve ever heard a Melody Tent ad on any of the Cape’s iHeart  radio stations, you’ve heard Brad’s voice. Brad has been the voice of the Melody Tent for more than 15 years. He also hosts the afternoon show on Cool-102.

Brad has fought the good fight against ALS for nearly 4 years.

In classical music news, on this day in 1752 Rousseau’s opera Le Devin du Village premiered. In 1855 Franz Liszt’s Prometheus premiered and in 1904 Gustav Mahler’s 5th symphony premiered in Cologne.

Chuck Berry was born in this day in 1926. Berry is the singer, songwriter and guitarist, who wrote the 1963 UK No. 6 single ‘Let It Rock’ plus many other classic songs. He also had surprise hit in 1972 with the UK and US No.1 single ‘My Ding A Ling’.
