4th Announcement of the 2014 Summer Concert Season Released

Cohasset, MA, April 4, 2014– The Melody Tent and Music Circus made their fourth round of show announcements for the upcoming summer concert series. Fans of classic rock have been taking to social media to ask the venues for more rock shows. Classic rock legend Gregg Allman will be playing music from his solo career as well as Allman Brother’s classics. Guitar master Robert Cray will be co-headlining a show with guitarist, pianist and singer John Hiatt.

Veteran rockers Extreme will be performing their breakout hit album Pornograffitti. Nuno Bettencourt and Gary Cherone commented on their upcoming tour

“It’s going to be a first… Pornograffitti Live Tour! We are going to play it from top to bottom. We can’t wait to play it live.” Cherone Says. Nuno explains, “These shows are going to be real special. This record represents a great moment in time for the band. We are pretty fired up to do it.”  

Other acts announced include “The Happy Together Tour,” which is returning for another night of perennial hits from the 60s and 70s, and Classic Albums Live performing Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety. The Happy Together Tour features Flo and Eddie from the Turtles, Chuck Negron (formerly of Three Dog Night), Mike Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, among others.  

Ziggy Marley makes a stop in Hyannis on the Fly Rasta Tour. The show will be exuberant start to summer.

Lee Brice is making his first appearance under the tent in August. “We couldn’t be more excited to have country star Lee Brice joining us. His show at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro sold out. We’re thrilled to offer his fans a chance to see him in a more intimate setting,” noted Deanna Lohnes, Marketing Director for both venues.

Two comics have also been announced, Mike Birbiglia and Amy Schumer. Comedy Central is presenting “Inside Amy Schumer’s Backdoor Tour.”
